Business Community
Many people are affected directly or indirectly by urological cancers. Supporting UCARE is a great way for your business to give back to your community, and to enable your staff and customers to make a real difference. So whether you're a small, local business or a multinational concern, we look forward to working with you as a UCARE partner.
Company donations
UCARE depends on charitable donations for all its funds. The sums raised will be used to fund vital research which will help to arrive at early diagnosis and more effectively treat the range of urological cancers and related conditions, the consumables required to deliver this research and the salaries of the tightly knit team. Some contributions are also used to fund patient education and support.
At UCARE we would like to encourage your company and your employees to embrace this charity and you can do this in a number of ways.
- Nominate UCARE as your company’s dedicated charity
- Allocate a portion of your Corporate Social Responsibility budget to UCARE
- Organise fund-raising events for UCARE within the company
- Participate in a “Give as you Earn” scheme
UCARE would like to create an on-going relationship with your company and its employees and in recognition of your support we offer:
- The Company to nominate a UCARE representative who would be the contact point for all links with UCARE and the company’s own occupational health provisions
- Literature for public areas and for personal communications
- An on-going education programme about urological cancer and how best to ensure early detection - can be through feature/newsworthy articles in company news letters/mags, intranet
- A continuing close relationship with UCARE in which you will receive regular news letters on the progress of UCARE and what your financial contributions have helped to achieve
- Support for any company fundraising events for UCARE
- PR support, if required, to publicise your support for UCARE to a wider audience

Are you ready to join the Geared for Giving Campaign?
Join the Geared for Giving Campaign - Dragon's Den entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne, MP Anne Snelgrove and the professional fundraising organisation Workplace Giving UK, are calling on business leaders to join the Geared for Giving Campaign and introduce, promote and re-launch dormant Workplace Giving schemes with the aim of giving an extra 1 million employees access to the scheme in the coming year.
The campaign aims to convince business leaders to put their support behind the most tax effective way to give.
Will you help the UK become Geared for Giving? Over 750,000 employees already give this way, but why not more? It's simple. Not enough companies participate in the scheme. And not enough employees are aware of its benefits.
We want 1m more people to be Geared for Giving at work. Employer or employee, will you help change the way we all give to charity?

Because it’s regular, Workplace Giving means charities can plan ahead – crucial when every penny counts. But there’s more. Being Geared for Giving at work means your chosen charity receives your donation tax free. So what you give direct from your salary could go up to 40% further. How’s that for a beautiful loophole?
Will you help the UK become Geared for Giving? Over 750,000 employees already give this way – but why not more? It’s simple. Not enough companies participate in the scheme. And not enough employees are aware of its benefits. Which is a crying shame, because this is clearly the best way to give.
