UCARE depends on the committed support of our donors, volunteers and advisers.
Cancer research provides hope for the future because it leads to more effective ways of treating and preventing cancers. You can make a real difference by getting involved with UCARE. Thank you for all your support.
In April and May, we ask you to use your knowledge and your voices to spread the following message:
When you give either time or money to UCARE,
You are buying hope, time and a better future.
Help raise funds and the profile of urological cancers.
Raising awareness for the urological cancers and to help people live healthier lifestyles, prevent cancer, and to raise awareness of the symptoms of cancer is high on the UCARE agenda.
As you've read we are launching our first urology cancer and UCARE awareness month but need your help. Could you spare a day, an hour, or whatever you can to be involved Organise a raffle, a dress down day at work; coffee morning; afternoon tea, a sponsored swim; travel on your treadmill from Lands End to John O'Groats. Perhaps post 12 UCARE leaflets through your neighbour's doors
One idea is to hold a 'Snowball' event which aims to raise money through lots friends going to- and giving- an event of their own. They can be in format and need not be at all elaborate - lunch, tea, coffee, supper, tennis, bridge… anything… The important thing is to keep it on the move and have some fun in a good cause.
You invite 10 friends and ask them to bring a donation £5, £10 or more! ~ they then give a lunch, coffee, tea, etc of their own soon afterwards [it doesn't have to be in April] for just 9 people. If, in turn those 9 do something for 8, and the 8 do something for 7 ...and 6 and so on… and everyone brings a donation huge amount of money will be raised.
Get in touch for any UCARE leaflets you might want to give to your friends and please ask them to Gift Aid their donation.

“The doctors and researchers are working so hard on our behalf and without their knowledge, dedication and care I simply would not be here. I support UCARE because there is a need to find new ways to treat urological cancers in order to give patients a life-line.”
Cilla Slipper was one of the UCARE supporters who kindly donated auction and raffle prizes for the UCARE Gala Dinner which helped to raise over £20,000.
