Information

Urological cancers, which include prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer and testicular cancer, represent nearly 20% of all cancers diagnosed in the UK each year. So where can you find reliable information on urological cancers?

Oxford Cancer Information website

There is so much information available on the internet. But which websites can you trust to give you the up-to-date information you need, when you need it?

As part of our project to support patients, UCARE promotes the Oxford Cancer Information website, which you can find by following this link: www.oxfordcancerinfo.org.uk

The website is run by patients and professionals at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust. It includes two helpful guides: What is cancer? and Living with cancer. You will also find descriptions of the different types of cancer, and practical information about prevention, diagnosis, treatment and after treatment.

I wish UCARE had been around when I had my cancer; it's just what is needed.Jane Brown was diagnosed with kidney cancer when she was 31 and had a young family. She found it a frightening experience and the lack of information about kidney cancer only made things worse. Today, Jane is well and is helping UCARE as a volunteer.
